A beautiful winter’s day

 A beautiful winter’s day

Today we went outside to notice the changes in the school environment. We wondered why the leaves on some trees stay green while others turn beautiful colours but then fall off. Some trees are evergreen while others are deciduous. Once we had looked, we played. Everyone had lots of fun throwing the leaves up high and watching them fall to the ground again.

The NZ Health and PE curriculum states that children will develop a wide range of movement skills, using a variety of equipment and play environments. While the science curriculum says that children will recognise that there are lots of different living things in the world and that they can be grouped in different ways.
